Configure your Stand Alone Landi M20 payment terminal

Follow these instructions to set up an Stand alone Landi M20

1. Before you start

Please ensure that the device is linked to
Loving Loyalty's Landi partner account, with ID 801448. For more details, please refer to the Landi Connect User Guide, pages 23-26.


Make sure that Android System WebView is installed on the payment terminal and updated to the latest available version
(as of September 19th 2024: version 128).


2. If using the Google Play Store

To download apps from Google Play, you must:

  • Sign in with an existing Google account, or

  • Create a new Google account

Important

If you log in with a Google account during device staging, make sure to log out afterwards:

  1. Go to Settings → Passwords & Accounts

  2. Select the Google account

  3. Tap Remove account

This prevents the end user from being signed in with your staging account.


3. Install the required apps

You must install:

  • Loving Loyalty (from the device’s native App Store or Google Play Store)

  • Softpay (Payment app) (from the device’s native App Store or Google Play Store)

After installing Softpay, do the following:

  1. Open Settings

  2. Go to Apps

  3. Select Softpay

  4. Tap Permissions

  5. Enable Camera

  6. Go back and enable Notifications


4. Adjust device settings

After installing the apps, adjust the following:


A. Enable automatic updates (native App Store only)

If you install the apps from the device’s native App Store, ensure automatic updates are enabled.

On a Landi device:

  1. Open the App Center

  2. Tap the gear icon (top-right)

  3. Enable Automatic Updates


B. Set screen timeout to Never

  1. Open Settings

  2. Go to Display

  3. Tap Screen timeout

  4. Set to Never


C. Change the device language to Danish

  1. Open Settings

  2. Go to System

  3. Tap Languages & Input

  4. Select Add language

  5. Choose Dansk, and afterwards select Danmark

  6. Move Dansk to the top of the list to make it the preferred language

Note: The language can also be set to Danish during the initial device setup when first turning on the terminal.



5. Enable remote access (Landi devices only)

Make sure that unattended access is enabled in the remote access app.

This allows Landi Connect to control the device remotely.



6. Final step: Log in to Loving Loyalty

  1. Open the Loving Loyalty app on the primary cashier machine (e.g., C20 Pro)

  2. Log in using the cashier credentials provided in the onboarding email

  3. Open the main menu

  4. Tap Payment Terminals

    Tap the + button to add a new payment terminal

    Select the payment provider: Softpay
    Select No, installed on another device,  and tap Continue.

    Select Landi M20 as the payment terminal model, then tap Continue.

    Select Yes, built-in receipt printer, then tap Continue.

    Enter an appropriate name for the payment terminal: Landi M20, then tap Continue

    The confirmation screen above is now displayed. Click Continue.

    An activation QR code is now displayed. You will scan this code with the M20 device.

    On the M20 device, open the Loving Loyalty app. The login screen will be displayed

    Click the back button in the top left, then click the main menu > Activate payment terminal. The camera will now open. Point the device to scan the QR code displayed on the main cashier device. Upon successful scanning of the QR code, the app will automatically log in as a payment terminal, with the terminal ID displayed at the bottom
