Set up takeaway ordering and payment settings

You can configure your shop’s ordering and payment settings for takeaway orders. On the home screen, select Settings. Then, on the Settings, screen, select Takeaway.

Then, on the Takeaway screen, you can configure the following options.

Enable your shop to accept takeaway orders

This option allows your customers to place takeaway orders in your shop. To enable or disable this option, turn on or off the Accept takeaway toggle button. If this option is disabled, the following options will also be disabled.

Enable auto-accept takeaway orders

This option enables your shop on the app to automatically accept every takeaway order placed by customers. To enable or disable this option, turn on or off the Auto accept takeaway toggle button.

Allow future pickup time for takeaway orders

This option allows your customers to place takeaway orders and schedule their pickup time to a future date and time. To enable or disable this option, turn on or off the Accept future pickup time toggle button.

Allow customers to pay online on the app

This option allows your customers to pay for their takeaway orders online on the app. To enable or disable this option, turn on or off the Accept in-app payments toggle button.

Accept payments for takeaway orders through payment terminals

This option allows your cashiers to process the payment of takeaway orders using payment terminals. To enable or disable this option, turn on or off the Accept payments through payment terminals toggle button.

Accept cash payments for takeaway orders

This option allows your customers to process cash payments of takeaway orders on the app. To enable or disable this option, turn on or off the Accept cash payments for takeaway orders toggle button.

Accept immediate payment

This option enables your shop on the app to immediately accept payments when a takeaway order is made on-site. To enable or disable this option, turn on or off the Accept immediate payment toggle button. When enabled, the cashier will be prompted to process the payment when a takeaway order is made. 

Force upfront payment for takeaway orders

This option enables your shop on the app to force upfront payment for takeaway orders. Payment must be processed when an order is accepted by the cashier on-site. To enable or disable this option, turn on or off the Force upfront payment for takeaway orders toggle button. 

Ask customers for tips for takeaway orders

This option asks your customers to add a tip amount to their order during checkout. To enable or disable this option, turn on or off the Ask for tips for takeaway orders toggle button.
